Once upon a time he looked the clean-cut all-American boy. But now Jennifer Aniston's husband, Brad Pitt, is so hirsute he could almost be recruited by ZZ Top.
The 38-year-old star chose an Arthur Daley-style pork pie hat to keep his burgeoning locks in place when he arrived as a guest at the Los Angeles premiere of new spy thriller, The Bourne Identity - by bestselling author Robert Ludlum.
The movie, which opens in the US next week, stars Franka Potente and Matt Damon and is about a man who is washed ashore riddled with bullets and total memory loss, and then races to elude assassins and recover from amnesia.
When the actor first sported his flowing locks, beard and moustache in public in LA three months ago, one on-looker was moved to say: "You could hardly believe it was him. He looked like he'd just crawled out of a cave."
