Porta-Potty Causes Motorcycle Wreck
08/10/2005 CUSTER, S.D. - A 55-year-old Texan died this afternoon when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a portable toilet that had fallen off a trailer just north of Custer. The South Dakota Highway Patrol identified the victim as Michael E. Johnson of Grand Saline, Texas. The Patrol says a driver was transporting portable toilets when the accident occurred about 2 this afternoon on US Highway 16. After the impact, Johnson and his bike were thrown into the other lane and were struck by a second motorcycle. Authorities say a third motorcycle tried to avoid debris on the road and ended up in the ditch. |
